The place is beautiful!! Mountains and river stream running through it.. But!!! You are expected to bring your own sheets blankets pillows towels... OR you can purchase for $15.00 per room. The cabins were dirty.. and before you leave expect them to make sure it's spotless although when we checked in the cabin floors dirty..had to clean the toilet before it could be used. I found dirty socks in a drawer... rules don't get me started on the rules.. if you go to bed at 8:00 your ok... but don't expect to sit around a camp with your family.. they will shut you down. We had a family reunion there.. the first and only one that will be there... They were trying to teach a little boy and my granddaughter how to skip rocks on the river.. next sign posted of don't do is no throwing rocks! Campers.. don't run the airconditonars cause that's extra money also... I'm sure they make tons of money.. cash or check only.. just wonder what they claim?? That's my 2 cents... very disappointed.. I'm sure you will see more disappointing comments coming!
It's a great place. We just love to take our grandchildren and now that we have a new puppy, we are looking forward to exploring with her as well. The staff is friendly and the sites are roomy. We stayed in an apartment one time and found it clean and inviting. I will tell my friends and family about our time here.
River Ranch has some awesome views! The staff was friendly for the most part. Lots of rules here but for the most part they are easy to follow. They have lots of different sites available. Some of them are very unlevel and makes setting up harder. My only wish was that they provided concrete pads. It rained almkost every day and the dirt and mud was a bit crazy at times. They do have showers and laundry which is helpful.
River Ranch is beautiful but the people who work there are beyond strict. We had a family reunion there and they were so rude. If you want to fish, 2 is your limit per day. You can not catch and release and 8 pm is when you can't fish anymore. We were fishing at 8 and there was a guy that came up yelling at little kids telling them to get the poles out of the water. You can't ride your fourwheeler around the campground you will get a fine. If you stay in a cabin you better make sure it is spotless before you leave because they will inspect it. "Quiet time" is 10 pm.. so you better be quiet or they will come yell at you. I could go on but I won't. We will never stay there again because of how we were treated and the prices. There are much better camp grounds out there.
The rules here are ridiculous. My buddy drove up on the lot and was yelled at because they said he wasn't supposed to be here it was only for guests he was just picking me up. The owner is not very friendly and the lake is way too mossy. The rooms are nice but if you stay here make sure you bring your own shampoo and body wash because they do not supply them. Also the tv sucks you get 12 channels and they are way statically you can't even see. There are other nicer places for only 15 to 20 dollars more. I will not be staying here again.
